The area

The skiareas are situated on the northern peninsula Hokkaido, about two hours by car from the airport Chitose.

Hokkaido's mountains offer a wide variety of interesting tours.

Due to the relatively low altitude differences the program can be optimally tailored to your skills and fitness. That way you can combine single descents as well as several summits and enjoy more than one decent per day. Open terrain, sparse forest and Japan pillows guarantee diverse downhill opportunities.

Why Hokkaido?

  • "Japow" : Thanks to cold temperatures and low humidity the North Island Hokkaido ranks among the ski resorts with the lightest powder snow.

  • Guaranteed reliable snow conditions: From December to March dry cold Siberian air crosses over the comparably warm Sea of Japann, collecting an abundant amount of moisture. This moisture-filled air creates dense snow clouds that bring heavy snowfall to the western seaboard of Hokkaido.

  • Compared to other ski resorts, Hokkaido still offers skiareas wich remain relatively undiscovered.

  • Authentic skiing experience : Restaurants with japanese specialities, onsens and few western tourists.

  • Lift or ascent with skins : Side- and Backcountry adventure for all (fitness) levels.

If once you are not busy with exploring Hokkaido's mountains the surrounding area offers you many alternative programmes.
